This Privacy Policy explains how Tecknicos, LLC (“Tecknicos,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use tecknicos.com, create a client account, or buy our services. It doesn’t cover data our business clients put into our software or systems on their own behalf; for that, we act on the client’s instructions under our agreement with them (see “Client data” below).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a contact, quote, trial, or sign-up form, book a visit, or create an account, we collect what you enter: typically your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, ZIP code or service address, and what you need help with.
Account and transaction information. If you become a client, we keep records of quotes, agreements, invoices, payments, support requests, and visits. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive the payment status and the last four digits and type of your card or bank account, never your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Our web servers keep standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time) for security and troubleshooting. We don’t use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cross-site cookies. Signing in to the client portal uses a cookie that’s needed for your session.
Information from service work. When we work on your devices, systems, or accounts, we may see data stored on them. We access only what the work requires.
2. How we use information
- To respond to you, provide quotes, and deliver the services you request.
- To create and secure your account, and to send service messages such as confirmations, invoices, receipts, and security notices.
- To bill you and collect payment.
- To keep the Site and our services secure, prevent abuse and fraud, and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We’ll only send marketing emails if you’ve asked for them or are a client, and every marketing email lets you unsubscribe.
3. How we share information
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the business, under contracts that limit their use of it: Stripe (payments), Microsoft 365 (email), our hosting and infrastructure providers, and subcontracted field technicians who carry out a visit you’ve booked.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Tecknicos, our clients, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.
4. Client data
When a business client stores data in our hosted software (Wemote, ObjectX, PartnerHub) or systems we manage, that client controls it, and we process it only to provide the service under our agreement. Questions about that data should go to the client first.
5. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above: leads that don’t become clients are deleted or anonymized after 24 months of inactivity; client records are kept for the life of the relationship plus the period tax and accounting law requires (generally 7 years). Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
6. Security
We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, encrypted secrets storage, least-privilege access for staff and contractors, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing, by emailing legal@tecknicos.com. We’ll verify your request and respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, California or other US states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights; we honor them, and we won’t treat you differently for using them.
8. Children
Our services are for adults and businesses. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed, and we’ll tell clients about material changes by email.
